ABOUT US
Together with the government, we enable experiential environments that make learning enjoyable and empowering.
We are a registered public trust dedicated to empowering vulnerable children through quality experiential learning. By focusing on Science and Technology, including foundational literacy and numeracy, we build conceptual and future-ready skills in children. This helps them flourish in our ever-evolving world.
WHY DOES OUR WORK MATTER?
We believe children learn best when they are actively immersed in the learning process. When they explore, experiment, question, analyse and apply.
Memorise parts of a helicopter How does a helicopter fly? Let us make a paper helicopter and understand!
State Newton's Laws of Motion. Let us build and test a balloon-powered rocket car. How do Newton's laws explain its movement, speed, and direction?
Access to such methodologies of learning build interest and understanding. It empowers children to think critically and solve problems. It moulds them into capable individuals.
Samskriya partners with government schools in Tamil Nadu to ensure that this type of learning reaches children from vulnerable and socio-economically disadvantaged communities.
We provide low-cost, innovative, scalable and replicable learning solutions.
We focus on learning that is activity-based, application oriented, conceptual, interactive, inquiry-based and fun!
Every child deserves the right to quality education. Samskriya is on a journey to make that possible.

VISION
To ensure universal access to quality experiential learning for every child
MISSION
To provide low-cost, effective and scalable experiential learning solutions in STEM, AI, foundational literacy and numeracy for children from marginalised communities in partnership with government schools.
OUR STORY
Samskriya was born in 2013 when Mrs Sandhya Jaichandren, our founder, set out to make a meaningful difference in education for marginalised children. What began as a small-scale initiative to create accessible storybooks for young learners has now evolved into a full-fledged movement transforming how children can learn better.
From 200 children in 2013, as of today, we have reached 35,300 children through partnering with 125 government schools, strengthening education at the foundational and systemic level. Our focus lies in building children’s understanding and application in STEM, foundational English and Numeracy and learning effectively in the age of AI so that they can adapt to the demands of our rapidly evolving world.
OUR APPROACH
OUR CONTRIBUTION TO SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS
Samskriya Foundation contributes to United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 – Quality Education by making quality STEM and foundational experiential learning accessible, inclusive and engaging for children from marginalised communities.
